Product Overview
Downtime on a small automation skid rarely waits for a purchase order. The Allen-Bradley 1762-L24BXB is a MicroLogix 1200 programmable logic controller built for exactly that reality: compact, self-contained, and ready to run general-purpose control tasks without a rack full of extra modules. It carries Ten (10) standard 24VDC inputs, Four (4) Fast 24VDC inputs, Five (5) relay outputs, Four (4) 24VDC FET outputs and One (1) high-speed 24VDC FET output. For maintenance engineers, that mix matters. Relay contacts handle switched loads up to 24-125VDC or 120-240VAC, while the FET outputs switch fast, repetitive signals without mechanical wear.

The 0-20 kilohertz operating frequency is what makes the fast inputs and high-speed output genuinely useful for counting, totalizing and position monitoring. The 8-pin mini-DIN port supports DF1, DH-485, ASCII and MODBUS, so programming, online edits and SCADA or HMI links run through one front-panel connection.
Where It Fits
MicroLogix 1200 controllers suit micro and small automation duties. A tank farm panel might use the fast inputs to totalize flow pulses while relay outputs drive valve solenoids. A packaging line could rely on the high-speed FET output for precise reject actuation. In each case the 1762-L24BXB keeps I/O, power supply and communications in one compact housing, which shortens panel build time and simplifies spare-part stocking. For oil, gas and industrial automation sites, that single-part simplicity is a practical advantage. Contact Oil AutoTech today for pricing and availability.

Installation and Service Notes
Mount the controller on DIN rail or directly to a panel. Keep it inside an industrial enclosure and position it away from load lines, power lines, relays, AC motor drives and other electrical noise sources. The ambient operating range is 0 to 55 degrees Celsius. Because the unit uses both relay and FET outputs, service checks should confirm the correct output type is driving each load. Inspect terminal connections and enclosure cooling periodically, and follow the manufacturer’s manual for all maintenance procedures.
Integration Note
Wiring into DH-485, DF1 or MODBUS networks may require an external gateway or connection module. Confirm cables and gateways with your supplier before commissioning.
Selection Checklist
Before ordering, verify your input voltage, sink or source configuration, output mix and panel dimensions against the 1762-L24BXB data. Please verify current lifecycle status and availability with Oil AutoTech before ordering.
